2. Subscribe – new in GW8. You can now ’subscribe’ to a iCalendar Feed (also called ICS). You can do it from a file, a web site, etc. You can do it manually or simply browse to a site that contains iCalendar and hit the ’subscribe’ option. If GroupWise is the registered application on your desktop, a GroupWise dialog will appear that allows you to see the URL, choose the name, determine the ‘frequency’ of checking for updates, etc. Advantages: Auto-sync – updates/changes at the feed are reflected in your calendar as soon as the sync interval expires. Not part of the GroupWise store – so you can subscribe and it does not affect your disk space usage. Disadvantages: We subscribe in memory – we do not import. Only available in the Windows Client. Data does not transfer to any other client and is not available from your mobile device.
