Odette Piñeiro
Dr. Odette Piñeiro Caballero has been the The Education Alliance’s State
Liaison to Puerto Rico since 1996. In that position she has managed several
research and development projects in Puerto Rico, including a study of the changing
role of school directors occasioned by Puerto Rico’s 1994 law that switched
all of the island’s schools to a site-based management model. Since 1998,
she has coordinated the LAB’s technical support offered to the Puerto Rico
Department of Education for the implementation of the federal Comprehensive
School Reform Demonstration project (CSRD). Complementing her 80% position at
Brown, she has been very active in a community connected learning partnership
in a rural part of Puerto Rico and, for six months, she was the Director of
Professional Development for the most dominant CSRD model currently being implemented
in Puerto Rico. Prior to working for Brown she was Senior Diversity Planning
Analyst and, later, Director of the first College Assistance Migrant Program
(CAMP) at Pennsylvania State University. For CAMP, she designed and implemented
collaborative leadership processes in and outside the institution to enable
youth from migrant and seasonal farm worker backgrounds (Mexican, Dominican,
Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Laotian) to have the opportunity to pursue a four-year
college education. Her professional career has focused on creating bridges to
insure ELL youth have equal access and participation to high quality teaching
and learning environments. She earned her Ph.D. at Pennsylvania State University.

Jung stated "The alchemists, who in their own way knew more about the nature of the individuation process than we moderns do, expressed this paradox through the symbol of the Ouroboros, the snake that eats its own tail.

This same literature reveals time and time again that what makes us happy is the quality of our romantic bonds, the health of our families, the time we spend with good friends, the connections we feel to communities. When our jen ratios are high in our close relations, so are we.

Just for the record, the ABA is also foursquare against ebooks being sold more cheaply than paper books, and thinks maybe Justice should look into that too.
-
physical bookstores simply can’t compete for breadth of offering and, also like the social changes around music and moving images, the internet is strengthening rather than weakening the ability of niches and sub-cultures to see themselves reflected in long-form writing.

A WordPress Plugin App Store: Commodify and die! at bavatuesdays
-
I could get a paid membership to that service and download all those plugins and distribute them freely to anyone under the conditions of that same license.
-
So given that, why don’t a whole bunch of us pool a dollar or two and gain access to the premium plugins site, and then redistribute everything freely?

María Magdalena: ¿Santa, esposa o prostituta? - Monografias.com
-
- 3 more annotations...

Brazil is aggressively expanding their Telecentro program, community free software workshops and technology education : northxsouth : free software news from latin america

Meanwhile, in the United States, Microsoft continues to bribe politicians into ignoring free software, we have sub-quality public technology education for students, absolutely no technology education available for the community-at-large except what unfunded user groups can provide and what we can boast is a generation of youth who know how to pimp out their MySpace page but probably can’t spell “Unix.”
