I’m guessing it’s because of how successful "My Life Would Suck With You" both on Charts, radio airplay and digital downloads. It jumped from #98 to #1 in a week’s span. Hikaru Utada was born and raised in Manhattan NYC. Her Father is Utada Teruzane, an accomplished musician and producer. Her mother is Keiko Fuji, a successful Japanese enka (ballad) singer. Hikaru studied at Columbia University. She wrote and recorded her first song by age 11. She signed on with EMI and released a Japanese album
after she graduated Junior High School.
