MICDS Cuban Missile Crisis: Can't we all just get along?

Interesting use of Twitter. Students "tweet" as if they are a "character" in the Cuban Missile Crisis. Not unlike Ning sites where students blog/interact as characters of novel, etc. Other than relevancy for students, how does this influence their learning? Love to see some action research...
