The Trouble with Textbooks: Distorting History and Religion
Textbooks around the world are blatantly used as tools for propaganda. It is shocking to discover that history and geography textbooks widely used in America's elementary and secondary classrooms contain some of the very same inaccuracies about Christianity, Judaism, and the Middle East as those in Iran.
Assessing how textbooks treat these topics provides telling insight into how textbooks approach complex subjects. What do students learn about Jews, Jewish history, and Judaism's relationship to Christianity? How does the ongoing challenging relationship between Jews and Muslims in the Middle East show up in the textbooks? What about the triangulation between Jews, Christians, and Muslims?
The 500 problematic passages about Judaism, Christianity, Islam and the Middle East uncovered in the analysis of the 28 most widely used textbooks in public schools should evoke considerable concern on the part of Americans. History and religion are being distorted in schools in every one of the 50 states.

A parent in the Clark County School District of Las Vegas, Henderson area reported today that his son, who is in 1st grade, came home yesterday saying that he didn't want to go back to school anymore.
When asked why, the boy said that during the Pledge of Allegiance the teacher put up a large image of Obama next to the flag.

Introduction
Remember the frog that landed in a pan of water and stayed until it boiled? Had the pan been hot, the frog would have noticed and hopped out. But the water felt cool at first, and the frog sensed no danger. It simply relaxed and conformed to the gradual change. Subdued by the rising heat, it grew too sluggish to act. By the time the water boiled, the frog was dead.
I know that carefree feeling. When my oldest son entered the system over two decades ago, our local elementary school seemed safe and friendly. A fatherly principal welcomed him, and friendly teachers used the same old teaching techniques that taught me to read and multiply long ago: phonics, drills, memorization.... How could I suspect that these proven teaching methods would be replaced by classroom experiments using children as guinea pigs for social engineering? I had no way of knowing that truth, facts, logic and history would soon be replaced by an unrelenting emphasis on myths, feelings, imagination and politically correct stories. I saw no reason to believe that our values would soon be ridiculed, redefined, and subjected to unthinkable tests.
If someone had told me that globalist educators were determined to mold our children into a compliant workforce for a New World Order by year 2000, I wouldn't have believed them. If a friend had warned me that political leaders would use our schools to transform the world into a "global village" held together with the cords of pantheistic oneness and a computerized surveillance system, I might have laughed. How could our elected representatives agree to something so outlandish? That could never happen in America. This was the land of the free! After all, we have our Constitution. No one can take our rights--or our children--from us!

Is it any surprise to anyone that today's schools have become petrie dishes to culture left wing ideology in the minds of our young people? Here is the latest case in point from American Thinker:
The shocking video of uniformed youngsters marching and chanting about Obama we blogged yesterday turns out to have been organized during school hours by a middle school teacher at a (taxpayer funded) charter school in Kansas City. The teacher in question, whose name has not been disclosed, has been suspended and may face legal charges.

I find it disturbing that the superintendent knew about the political indoctrination underway and only objected to it being made public on the internet. Now, she claims to be disturbed by the politicization of school activities. The fact that her charges have been indoctrinated to chant that "because of Obama" they will accomplish marvelous things in life is far worse than making it public.
Now consider this appalling reality that exists at our schools. Yoko Ono and John Lennon are the key historical figure that 8th graders want to study??
