Pennies for Peace

The Pennies for Peace K-12 curriculum is inspired by Greg Mortenson's book Three Cups of Tea. It provides a standards-aligned, service learning curriculum for all grade levels. It includes an implementation guide, fact sheets, printable maps, postcards, stickers & poster, and videos. The Pennies for Peace portion of the curriculum is directed to make a positive impact on a global scale, one penny at a time. While a penny is virtually worthless, in impoverished countries such as Pakistan, a penny buys a pencil and opens the door to literacy.
