Cell Size and Scale

Awesome scale- 'slider' that lets you zoom in from a coffee bean to a chromosome & mitochondria to a carbon atom.
Good for exponents too.

52 Land, Water, Fire and Sky Phenomena | WebEcoist | Green Living

According to an ancient Greek philosopher, scientist and healer all matter is comprised of four elements: earth, water, fire and air and associated these four elements with gods and goddesses of Greek mythology. In more contemporary cosmologies these elements have been used to relate and contrast ideas of substance, feelings, energy and thought respectively.

The Periodic Table of Videos - University of Nottingham

Tables charting the chemical elements have been around since the 19th century - but this modern version has a short video about each one.
Since launching this site, our videos have been watched more than 5 million times.
But we're not finished yet. We've started updating all the videos with new stories, better samples and bigger experiments.

Question Everything :: Creative ICT News

The mantra of all the lecturers I ever met at teaching college (Didsbury) was "reflect, reflect and then reflect some more". This was good advice, and the lesson was learned. To this day few things irritate me more than the staffroom cynic saying "You can't do anything with these kids," or blaming bad behaviour for why the dull, dull lesson that the class has just experienced was a flop.

Welcome to Science without Borders | science.without-borders.org

My Fieldfindr idea for Science- Looks GREAT:
Science without Borders (SWB) creates, facilitates and supports cooperation between scientists, researchers and other stakeholders of the academic sphere of the African and the European region. Science without Borders was launched in 2007 as an initiative of organisations involved in science based cooperation between the two regions. We focus on small scale, short term cooperations in order to provide quick wins for those who are usually not reached through big framework initiatives, the locally working researchers, scientists, teachers and students in universities, academies and colleges. Today SWB is the single access reference point for international collaboration between Africa and Europe!
