"Citizens' Gallery:

As part of our commitment to Citizen Commerce, we're rethinking the way people launch, discover, share, influence and buy products, online. So, whenever someone tells us about their favorite product (disclaimer: as long as it's not spam or outright advertising), we'll post that idea here in our Citizens' Gallery, a place on Daily Grommet where people can learn about and interact with the product submissions we receive every day.
In each entry, you'll see why people love a particular product, how they use it, and sometimes even get to hear from the founder in his or her own words. You'll even be able to vote for and comment on your personal favorites. Your opinions help to build the story around the product and potentially speed its way to becoming a Grommet."

Getting into a rash of conferences and other speaking appearances, considering setting up something like this in order to easily grab photos of attendees, and add some social media into the mix.

Easy enough to set up - but will I remember to set it up? Will YOU?

Let me know if you are or have used this setup, or something like it. Very lightweight, free - but could be very handy.

And Sam is back on the scene... Innovation, speaking the right language to the crowd, balancing a drive to invent the next new thing with the process to actually EXECUTE on the idea. All great ideas. Commented on the article - what are YOUR thoughts?

As a (sometimes) process-oriented guy, I find this fascinating. As a "have a mind of your own in the social world" (ala Cluetrain), I find it a bit disturbing. But have a look at this article on the Air Force Web Posting Response Assessment V2...

"Despite the chart's sometimes-stiff language, former military spokesman Steven Field says he's "a fan." Field, who's been occasionally critical of the armed services' blog outreach efforts, tells Danger Room: "I've always thought that a military-like process would be a good bridge to connect the services with the blogosphere. There's a field manual for everything in the military, so this flow-chart presents online communications in a DoD [Department of Defense] friendly format.""
