My old buddy <a href="http://www.redmonk.com/jgovernor">James Governor</a> used the idea of <a href="http://www.redmonk.com/jgovernor/2010/04/15/vat-how-to-explain-the-value-of-the-cloud-to-business-people/">changes in tax rates</a> to explain cloud computing. A shopping list image was used. Note the lower rate of VAT for comfort items. I don't know whether it was HIS list or someone else's. Awesome.
You either get it or not as the case may be. If you get it, it's funny if not, then you'll hate it.
