Are you suggesting that if a company disagrees with the auditor's suggested restatement, that they go to the SEC and appeal? Maybe they should educate themselves and/or hire an independent consultant with GAAP expertise who can advise them and help them debate the issue credibly with the auditor. After all, the auditor holds all the cards, dontcha' think? - that kinda nails it
It's only right that those who are at the helm be held accountable. Trouble is, the don't like it.
I love it when Francine finds KPMG 'funnies' - this one is definitely funny, but in the odd sense.
It seems incredible that in this day and age, people continue to think they can get away with backdating.
