  • L'un de ces camps, du côté de Barmal, dans la province afghane de Paktika, qui fait face à la zone tribale pakistanaise du Waziristan-Sud, serait tenu par Abou Yahia Al-Libi, alias Mohammad Hassan, l'un des évadés de la prison de la base américaine de Bagram, en juillet 2005.

    Un autre camp, dirigé par Abou Leith Al-Libi, serait installé dans l'épaisse forêt de Shawal, dans la zone tribale du Waziristan-Nord, face aux provinces afghanes de Khost et de Paktia. Ces "camps", des structures légères qui peuvent être dissimulées ou disparaître rapidement, accueillent des talibans.
