    Perfect companion and an "unofficial" extension for Google Docs.





    If
    you love Google* Docs, and need a better way of searching, sorting your
    docs from right within firfox, then gDocsBar is the solution you've
    been dreaming of. gDocsBar is a Firefox sidebar where you can drag and
    drop files to upload, and upload multiple files simultaneously. You can
    also sort, filter and search all your documents from with in the
    sidebar.



    This is my first extension ever. Try it out and let me know what you think!

iGoogleBar: Google Apps Bar with iGoogle Gadgets



  • iGoogleBar is a Firefox extension that
    adds Google Apps favicons to the Google Apps Bar,
    using them as triggers for the Apps' respective iGoogle Gadgets.
    In the screenshot below, you can see how this can be used
    to check your calendar from inside Docs.
    It also shows unread counts
    from Gmail and Reader!





    Can I customize which Apps are displayed in the bar?



    Yes, to some extent.



    You need to go to about:config in Firefox,
    right-click on the list of preferences and choose
    New > String.
    The name of the preference must be bolinfest.igooglebar
    and the value must be a comma-delimited list from the following set:

    • Gmail
    • Calendar
    • Documents
    • Photos
    • Groups
    • Reader
    • Notebook


    Personally, my value for this preference is
    Gmail,Calendar,Reader,Documents

    Features you probably wish I would add
    but likely won't because I don't have time:



    • Provide a nicer customization interface than about:config.
    • Include your favorite Google product as an option for the bar
    • Let you add your own links and specify your own gadgets
    • Support Google Apps – currently, this only works
      correctly in personalized Gmail, Calendar, etc.
    • Provide the option for the iGoogle gadgets to be tear-offs instead
      of simply pop-ups
    • Include the "more" dropdown in the bar.
      (Sorry, it was easier to clobber the contents of the bar rather
      than preserve the "more" link.)
    • Add a dropshadow to the popup
