Duke Nukem is a shoot-'em-up videogame with lots of blood, sex and gore. Dimension Films, however, plans to release a PG-13 version for the big screen. The film will be set in deep space and will center on Duke's efforts to prevent an extraterrestrial ship from colliding with planet Earth. Larry Kasanoff (Mortal Kombat) will produce.

Jeff has been close friends with Mark most of his life, so when Mark unexpectedly dies, Jeff volunteers to clear out Mark's apartment and tie up the loose ends of his personal business. While examining Mark's correspondence, Jeff learns that he had been exchanging flirtatious e-mails for some time with Andrea, an Internet designer from Italy who made plans to come to America and meet Mark in person -- and he's due to arrive only three days after Mark's passing. Jeff is unable to reach Andrea before he leaves, and ends up meeting the traveler at the airport, passing along the sad news to him. Andrea now has three days to pass in Mark's hometown of Dallas before his flight home, and Jeff offers to show him around the town. Over the next 72 hours, an attraction develops between Jeff and Andrea, based in part on their shared affection for a man they knew in very different ways. Filipino director Brillante Mendoza's slice-of-life/day-in-the-lives of the extended family members who run as well as live in a wretchedly dilapidated adult movie house in a grimy, poverty-ridden province of the Philippines is a very deliberately paced, but quietly powerful statement about lives of potential trapped within a social-economical situation.Desperate to feign dignity after losing a court case to prove her louse of a husband as an infidel, matriarch Flora returns to her slovenly existence only to discover her grandson has gotten his girlfriend pregnant and that the rest of her remaining business is about to flounder financially. The director places the viewer right amidst the muck and mire of a this deplorably filthy environment as the various miscreant types wander in and out-mostly gay hustlers and their tricks who go blithely about their business as the constant cacophony from the street endlessly drones a few steps away in this explicitly beautiful but sad story.

Norbit isn't going to lay this to rest, whilst he tries to survive life with Rasputia, and it looks like Deion also has something he would like to keep secret.

Chiwetel Ejiofor, Danny Glover, Amanda Peet, Thandie Newton, and Oliver Platt round out the cast of this end-of-the-world thriller co-scripted by the director and his 10,000 B.C. writer/composer, Harald Kloser.
