Mark Pilgrim wrote Dive Into Python (bookmarked elsewhere in this collection) and here he is writing an emerging O'Reilly Book called "HTML5: up and running" which will be released in a similar way ... in paper with on-line version available under Creative Commons. It is now being maintained by the community.
I will be following this with interest: "Want to find out how to write a computer game? Interested in learning programming? Curious about object-oriented programming and Java? Heard about Greenfoot, but don’t really know what it is? Teaching programming to others?"

"Last year it seemed like every new LMS company was trying to position itself as the “Facebook” of online learning. Then Facebook started to make everyone angry (or bored, or both), and we saw that idea dry up pretty quick (well, for the most part). The new catch phrase battle seems to be heating up over the words “open” and “free.” Both Pearson and Blackboard are racing to establish either part or all of their services as open and/or free."
Probably quite a lot!
"A short description of how to start a PLN" OurSocialVoice on YouTube. Shared by Kyle Pace (www.kylepace.com) and Richard Byrne of www.freetech4teachers.com.

The video uses sketches and words to explain the concepts of a PLN (personal learning network), how a PLN can improve your teaching practice, and how to go about creating a PLN. "\n\nThe video is nice and I'll be adding a seperate bookmark for it.
