Website to teach you about how the food got to you! This is a really neat website for elementary teachers who discuss food production. There is a resource for teachers as well. As a farm girl, it is great to see a site that discusses the importance of farming. This is so important for kids to understand.
We garden at our school and it is great!

Veterans Hisotyr Project -- get a field kit and film your local veterans - submit this to the library of congress - I saw a presentation on this in Illinois and it is amazing what they are doing with this. They report how much the kids now love history and it is amazing.

Virsona: Talking History contest
Virsona is sponsoring a talking history contest in which you create a virtual person that answers questions like the person in history would answer. This could be a great excercise for a history class if you have characters that you investigate deeply. This would be fascinating.
