HigherEdMorning.com » Blog Archive » The top 5 ways students use technology to cheat
Top five ways students use technology to cheat -- of course, all of them involve the cell phone, which will certainly push many to continue to say they should be banned. To me, teachers should be vigilant and watchful. Also, who says you have to give the same test to all of your classes or a pop quiz on the same day? It is time to get smart!

Wiggio - Makes it easy to work in groups.
This is a website that facilitates working in groups. This looks fascinating and we may test it some time in our class. This is something that students should take a look at before going to college so that they can lead their groups. Being used in colleges a bit it seems.
From the founder:
"Over the past 6 months we had a Beta site up for testing. Just last week we removed the Beta and launched some major new functionality before this semester started. Wiggio is now picking up over 1,000 college users a day and is increasing daily, with a current base of over 40,000 active users. Wiggio users now span over 500 college campuses (and the number of high schools is also starting to grow organically)."

Students 2.0
Been watching this group blog of students and want to share it with you. At over 1000 readers strong, this is an educational blog to watch -- students are speaking out. Who is listening?
Of course, teachers IN the classroom had better be listening. I hear my students thoughts in person and on our class blog, but how many teachers truly ask and how many listen? Even more so, how many administrators or curriculum directors listen and are involved.
Good teachers listen to students and know when to say yes and when to say no. However, it is great that now students can speak out!
