"Cloud data encryption tools, such as BoxCryptor (read review), Cloudfogger (read review) et al, help you secure your computer, mobile and cloud content by providing with you an additional layer of security. By encrypting data through such tools, users are assured that their precious local and cloud content remains safe from any sort of unauthorized access, whatsoever."

Cloudfogger for Windows, was reviewed in March (2012). At the time of review, the application supported integration with cloud storage giants, such as Dropbox, Box and SkyDrive etc., and provided you with a separate virtual drive on your PC in which you can simply drag and drop your cloud/computer data to get it automatically encrypted and shared with the associated cloud storage account.
-
Now here’s some good news for all you Google Drive account owners and Android users. Cloudfogger has expanded its pool of supported cloud services by including the recently launched Google Drive to the club. In addition, the service has also launched a beta of its official Android client that lets you easily decrypt your Cloudfogger-encrypted data right on your mobile device. Details to follow.
"Here is a summary of all Google Drive has to offer:
5 GB of free storage (Paid plans for up to 16 TB available)"
-
- Android app for online access to your files, with the ability to make files selectively available offline
- Access your files from anywhere in a web browser using the web interface
- Web interface also allows you to upload files
-
Access up to 30 days old versions of your files, with the ability to revert back to any of them anytime
"Cubby offers its users with 5 GB of free cloud storage space, but most likely, additional storage plans will be introduced soon. The application is available for Windows, Mac, Android and iOS. The Windows variant works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8."
CX (Cloud Experience) is a relatively fresh entrant to the cloud service market. Apart from offering a larger than usual 10 gigabytes of free online storage space to each registered account, the service also lets you share data and chat messages with other users across various major platforms including Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android.
iCore Virtual Accounts is a software that creates an isolated environments on your PC within which other programs can run.
Using iCore virtual machine as a sandbox program for safer browsing and installing new software provides an additional
layer of security for your computer, because all changes remain contained in a Virtual Account.
Rsync (Windows/Mac/Linux, Free)

Rsync is a powerful synchronisation tool originally invented for use on Unix-based systems. Since its release in 1996, it has been ported in various ways to Windows, Mac and Linux environments. The biggest strength rsync has is its ultra-efficient transfer of data. If you change a single kilobyte out of a 30GB file, rsync will swap just that single kilobyte. In the command line form, it’s as Spartan as you would imagine a ported Unix-based command tool would be. Fortunately, graphical “wrappers” abound for the rsync to slap a more user-friendly interface on it.
Comodo Time Machine (CTM) is a powerful system rollback utility that allows users to quickly restore their computers to an earlier point in time. CTM 'snapshots' are a complete record of your entire system (including the registry, critical operating system files and user created documents).
"Since it is backing up important system files, the backup cannot be created on a USB or external drive."
"This tool might be used to create a backup disk image ".img" file or a cloned copy of a USB, Floppy, hard drive, or partition. Disk Image can also be used to write third party and self created images back to floppy, USB, or hard disks, or effectively create a clone of a disk by using the same image on more than on disk."
"used to Synchronize, Mirror or Backup directories, files or entire drives. ZBack works between USB, internal or external, and mapped network drives. This Freeware backup utility is portable and sports filtering, automated batch, simple sync, simple backup, and manual mode options."
"the ability to search and manage your RSS feeds and create your own RSS feeds without knowledge of XML format and structure. Supports RSS, RDF, Atom and iTunes Podcast feed formats. Comes with it's own built in Browser to view the complete article."
