Web 2.0 - mob-powered media
The web 2.o citizen-journalist crowd-powered news media was a brave social experiment. It had high ideals. However and unfortunately, in reality it created a Frankenstein’s monster of a medium. The concept really was admirable with a capacity for the creation of a new level of human interaction. An army of eager amateur writers, spread across the world, that could report in real time on news events, each adding dimensions to the story, video footage, instantly disseminated across the web to be commented, buoyed, and made more by each and every contributor. In very few instances does that occur.

It is a “web of data” where everything is linked in. – It allows applications to “talk to each other”, reusing – and sharing this data. The data is shared via a common web architecture – (e.g.URI's) Relationships in the data are created by tools and – some are also created manually.
