庄子《内篇》的第二篇就是《齐物论》,什么叫“齐”呢?“齐”这个字，最初指我们每个人都有的“肚脐眼儿”,又怎样引申成为“一样齐”的“齐”呢?是因为任何人的肚脐眼儿,上至头顶，下至脚底,两边都一样长。“齐物”就是要把万事万物拉成一样长，即民间常说的“把泥鳅、黄鳝拉得一样长”。庄子说：不能拉得一样长。万事万物，千差万别，有许多不可比性。庄子说：不是“齐物”，是“齐物论”。论者，理也，“物论”是一个词组，万事万物虽然不能拉得一样长，但万物都有他的物理，即任何一个东西都有它们自身的道理，包括它存在的合理性；
