Marxism and the Orient: A Reading of Marx
Good article on Marx's Orientalist racism. The point of this article (to me) is not to discredit or discount Marxism altogether, but to improve it by doing away with the Orientalist notion of the "Asiatic mode of production" and to analyze "the Orient" as subject to the same historical, dialectical processes as in the West.
