macosxhints.com - 10.5: Move windows to Spaces via keyboard shortcut

"You do not have to view all Spaces to move windows between them (That is, by pressing F8, then using your mouse to drag and drop the desired window to the desire Space location). Nor do you have to drag to a screen edge, wait, then drop. If you like to use your keyboard, here's a fast way to do it."

Running Ubuntu as a Virtual OS in Mac OS X

"So let's look at the two ways you can run Linux. You can set up a Mac to dual boot, using Apple's Boot Camp system, which is included with Leopard 10.5 and available for download if you're still running Panther (10.4) from Apple's Web site, but somehow that seems clunky at best given the great virtualization capabilities on modern Apple hardware. As a result, I'm going to focus on getting Linux up and running simultaneously with running Mac OS X."

Firefox 3 for Mac OS X: Under the Hood « Boom Swagger Boom

"While the release contains a huge number of new features and performance improvements for all platforms, it is particularly significant for Mac OS X users. We rewrote most of the Mac OS X code that was behind Firefox 2 in order to benefit from modern Apple technologies and fix long-standing bugs. Once you try it I think you’ll agree that the results are astounding. I’d like to explain what exactly we did in this rewrite, how Firefox 3 for Mac OS X is different “under the hood.”"

Back-Up Your Mac, Effortlessly - Pogue’s Posts - Technology - New York Times Blog

"The beautiful thing about this arrangement is that it backs up your laptops automatically and completely, too–without your having to hook them up to anything. Any time the laptop is open and turned on, like when you’re using it, the Time Capsule backup is quietly doing its thing."

Microsoft’s elephant in the OS room: Apple | Between the Lines | ZDNet.com

"Are all of those Apple OS X vs. Vista commercials making an impact? Microsoft’s client revenue–Vista and XP came in below expectations–and the company cited three primary reasons: A tough comparison from year ago levels, OEM inventory build and piracy. But the elephant on the conference call may have been Apple and its Mac."
