Collective X | Stay in the loop with your group

A site similar to Ning in that you can create customizable social networks and have a single account to use across all of them (though you can have two profiles, a professional one and a social one). Aimed more at collaboration than socialization and professional networks than social networks. Would be great if you could also keep custom fields on group members.

A tool/service that lets you capture a portion of a web page and share it on a blog you host with them or on your own blog. The capture is an image but it links back to the original post. Something to compete with Iterasi?

HP Smart Web Printing enables simple, predictable web page printing.

What a great idea! A tool that lets you format things you want to print from a web page into a single document of only the things you need to save paper when you're printing it all out. Combine this with PrimoPDF and you've got a great way to archive the stuff you find on the web that might go away tomorrow like Photoshop tutorials.

LinkBunch - Put multiple links into one - http://linkbun.ch

An app that creates a small url for a list of links you supply so that you can send an entire list over Twitter, IM or email. Interesting feature expansion possibilities here: What if it could generate OPML or if you could use it to post lists to your blog (if they'd allow you to add a title)... Or use it to catagorize links under a tag...

Free Contact Management - Everyone you know, simplified.- Keepm.com - BETA

  • A service that is supposed to help you keep and organize your contact information.  May have to give it a try even though it's scary having someone else keep that information.

MojoPac | Who is it for? | The Professional

  • Software that is supposed to let you take your applications and data with you on a portable drive so that you don't have to lug your laptop around. This is the way I see most things going in a few years... we won't really have "PCs" per se, just our app/data stores to plug in where we need to. - bluecockatoo on 2006-10-23

SnapPages

  • A service for organizing your photos and calendar events that I'd like to try but it looks like their sign-up site is currently broken as it never sent me the confirmation email to finish registering. :( - bluecockatoo on 2006-10-04

SNIPPit

  • Another attempt at a resource to keep and organize your notes online. Organization by tags and tag clouds. As interesting as some of these attempts are, it's kind of scary to become dependant on one at an early stage as you may end up losing your data if it goes away. - bluecockatoo on 2006-08-31
