Evernote Markup Language (ENML)The contents of Notes within the Evernote
service must strictly comply with the XML definition found within
the ENML DTD. The reference version of this DTD is located at:http://xml.evernote.com/pub/enml.dtd
The service will validate the Note content
against this DTD before accepting any call to
NoteStore.createNote() or NoteStore.updateNote().ENML was designed to provide a secure and
portable document representation that could be consistently
rendered on various clients and platforms. ENML is largely based
on a subset of XHTML Transitional 1.0 from the W3C, with a few
additional elements added to support Evernote-specific concepts
(e.g. encryption, embedded Resources, etc.).Before submitting HTML content over the
EDAM API the client application is expected to follow the following
steps:

A large list of Web 2.0 APIs and web services that you can put together for Mashups. Not as comprehensive as ProgrammableWeb's lists but nice for browsing.
Multicolr Search Lab - Idée Inc.
A cool Flickr search tool that finds images with the colors you specify as predominant. Works pretty well even with 4 or so colors picked. It can also be used with the photos from a stock photography site. Fun to play with.
Google Chart Creator
A tool that uses the Google Chart Creator API to create graphs from the datasets you specify. Gives you a link to the image generated as well as to a url that will regenerate the chart on the fly. Nice tool to have for kid's school reports or blog posts.

ZoomClouds
A service that creates tag clouds and has a public API to get the clouds as XML for use in your own projects and sites.
Snipplr - Code 2.0
A service that acts as a code snippet repository. A lot of web development (javascript) snippets here. The site has a public API that you can access with an account key and pull code snippets into some dev IDEs like TextMate as well.
Using the Database - IP Address Lookup - Community Geotarget IP Addresses Project
A service API that you can retrieve location information about an ip address you specify or the ip address of the caller.

A pretty comprehensive listing of web services with public APIs. Handy for figuring out what you'd like to mash-up or just grabbing a service to play with.
