Boff has been an advocate for ecological sustainability for quite sometime. Here, juxtaposing our present actions with the cycles of apostasy found in the Hebrew bible, he calls on us to learn from those on the periphery (e.g. Evo Morales) and to change our course. Good piece.

Pretty provocative article. I tend to agree. Until we learn to view the bible in the right way perhaps its best to table it altogether. Be sure to skim through the comments, there are a TON.
