Good thoughts on the difference between traditions and denominations and the risks of denominational-ism.
I'll always have an affection for Ricoeur since he was my initial point of entry into postmodernism. This post is a good overview of his life and thought.
Terry Eagleton reviews Richard Dawkins' "The God Delusion." The first sentence is money...and it only gets better. I appreciate his critique especially since he is an atheist. (h/t @gideony via twitter)
Good diagnosis of the current state of the university, particularly graduate departments. The academy always seems to be a few years behind. Taylor offers some good suggestions for change.
Boff has been an advocate for ecological sustainability for quite sometime. Here, juxtaposing our present actions with the cycles of apostasy found in the Hebrew bible, he calls on us to learn from those on the periphery (e.g. Evo Morales) and to change our course. Good piece.
Phyllis Tickle looks toward 2009 hoping for a new definition of "church" and a new, generative eccesiology among emergents. Hopefully this will spark a larger, much needed discussion.

Cool. Digg has launched a series of new Twitter feeds for most of their categories. Now I can keep up without refreshing the web page. I may have weed out some extra Twitter feeds later on though!
Pretty provocative article. I tend to agree. Until we learn to view the bible in the right way perhaps its best to table it altogether. Be sure to skim through the comments, there are a TON.
