77 Favourite Atheist Books | michaelnugent.com
On Wednesday I asked on Twitter and Facebook about your favourite atheist-related books, and why. The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins was recommended as many times as the next three books combined. The Bible took second place, with its power to convince people of atheism edging it ahead of God is Not Great by Christopher Hitchens.

FlickChart Makes Movie Ranking Fun | Lifehacker Australia
Pick the better of two movies to create your own system.
If you haven’t seen one of the two films FlickChart is putting up for picks, it swaps one out for another, and the chain goes on. You can filter based on genre, year, decade, movies already on your favourites list, or leave it wide open to compare any movie to any other movie.
As you select movies, FlickChart begins building your favourites lists. Once you’ve ranked enough movies to have substantial lists, you’ll be able to check out your all time top movie list, top genres, and so on. Your selections are also added to the master list, which you can browse by best of, worst of, and year or decade.

25 Useful Financial Rules of Thumb ∞ Get Rich Slowly
Lately I’ve found myself using more and more financial rules of thumb. A rule of thumb is a general guideline, an easy way to approximate a value quickly. It’s not meant to be completely accurate. Mindfuck Movies by Matthew Baldwin - The Morning News
There’s a certain brand of movie that I most enjoy. Some people call them “Puzzle Movies.” Others call them “Brain Burners.” Each has, at some point or another, been referred to as “that flick I watched while I was baked out of my mind.”
But the phrase I find myself employing, when casting around for a succinct term for the entire genre, is “Mindfuck Movies.”
Top 10 Sci Fi Flicks For The Thinking Man (beerandscifi version) | Beer and Sci-Fi
Rotten Tomatoes released a list of “10 Sci Fi Flicks For the Thinking Man (or Woman)” and I have created an alternative which I believe to be much better. Both lists are less about fighting aliens and outer space battles than they are a list that contains “more thoughtful movies as to what it means to be human.” I usually can count on Rotten Tomatoes, but for this list I think they got a good portion of it wrong AND I think many of the movies they have picked are movies that are just recycled into most science fiction movie lists. Their list isn’t terrible, but it is typical. How many times do we need to see Blade Runner, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Planet of the Apes in a top 10 list? My list will contain alternative options with movies that you may not have seen.
