The effect of learning styles on achievement in different learning environments

AJET 25(4) Brown et al (2009) Are learning style preferences of health science students predictive of their attitudes towards e-learning?
Even though their results were mixed, they still say that "educators should still consider student learning styles in the context of using technology for instructional purposes." Why can't people leave learning styles behind?!?
