The popularity of solid state drives is increasing as they become cheaper and their capacity increases, while they are not yet mainstream it won’t be long before that is the case. They have considerably better transfer rates and faster access times than mechanical drives which is why discerning enthusiasts have already begun replacing their main disks with SSD drives.

je viens de mettre un SSD OCZ vertex 30 go pour mon swap photoshop dans mon mac pro (je boote sur un ssd intel de 80 Go)
Voila ce que ça donne : 

Les résultats obtenus pour un SSD abordables sont impressionnants sachant qu'il nous dit avoir payé ce disque 120€HT. Notez cependant que les adaptateurs 3,5" proposés par OCZ ne sont pas compatibles avec les tiroirs des Mac Pro.
