Everybody uses their desktop a little differently. For me, using Ubuntu means freedom of hassle, believe it or not. Why? Because of some simple things I do with each new Ubuntu installation.
1. sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras - That single line of code can save at least a 100 wasted forum posts a day about Flash, java, MP3s, etc.

One thing I wanted to do today, was upgrade to OpenOffice.org 3.0. Unfortunately, according to a bug on Launchpad, OOo 3.0 will not make it into the final release of Ubuntu 8.10. It may get added later, but personally I think it is a shame if it will not make the release.
