@avdi I've had good luck with Chase Freedom. I've also heard good things about the BJ's Rewards card, if you ever shop there.

from Twitter

@avdi i have the Capital One World MC, it gives me 1% cashback plus an annual bonus of 1/2 (so 1.5% if you wait for it) and no hassles.

from Twitter

@avdi We use the Amex Green (charge card) with Membership Rewards. The Rewards points are pretty versatile and the charge means no limit.

from Twitter

@avdi we switched to the Amex Blue Rewards for the house. 6% back on groceries and 3% on gas were the big incentives.

from Twitter

@avdi although I would say amex all the way. perk: free extra year on any laptop warranty.

@avdi I've been happy with Capital One http://t.co/17z7eRPH
1.5% (effectively) cash back
No foreign transaction fees either.

from Twitter

@avdi i just use chase freedom. get 5% cash back. adds up fast. plus i can pay off whenever my balance is low and keep on using.

from Twitter

@avdi What's on your reading list?

from Twitter

@avdi I'm a fan of my Flexperks. US Bank I could take or leave, but the card rewards don't suck.

from Twitter

@avdi I like Amex platinum for biz / travel.

from Twitter

@avdi CapitalOne Venture. I'm skeptical due to CapitalOne's advertising, but a friend who travels extensively swears by it, so I got one.

from Twitter

@avdi I <3 my costco amex card. Well worth the $50 a year for the costco membership (which I never use).

@avdi I don't know how you're so consistently able to see outside the programmer bubble but I love you for it. It's how things get better.

@pengwynn @drnic @avdi 's Objects on Rails book has me constantly asking "Do I really need AR here?". It's nice to not have what isn't need

from Twitter

@avdi Recently finished Objects on Rails and loved it. Especially Exhibit pattern. Fits a domain problem I've struggled with perfectly.

Half way through @avdi's "Objects on Rails" it's already clear that I have to read it more than once. Which is a good thing, of course :)
