Robert Plant hints at Zeppelin show
Led Zeppelin singer, Robert Plant, has expressed his desire to play more shows with his legendary band. In an interview in May’s edition of Uncut magazine, he reveals how he’d been happy to do another show, similar to the highly successful performance at the O2 Arena last December, if there is a good reason. The London gig in 2007 raised money for the late Ahmet Ertegun, former head of Atlantic Records, and his music education fund.
Velvet Revolver may record without Weiland
After last weeks online spat between Velvet Revolver singer Scott Weiland and drummer Matt Sorum, guitarist Slash has declared that the band are not splitting up, and may even record an album without Weiland. Sorum and Weiland fell out after their Glasgow show where handbags rather than pistols were drawn at dawn.

Black Kids team up with Bernard Butler
Florida’s emerging young stars, Black Kids, have teamed up with ex Suede guitarist, Bernard Butler, as producer of their debut album. Butler and the band are currently in a London studio working hard for its July release. The cracking new single, ‘I’m Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You’, also produced by Mr Butler, is released on 7 April, with the Youngblood brothers and band bracing themselves for a busy and successful summer.

Mos Def wins role of Chuck Berry
US rapper, Mos Def, has landed the role of Chuck Berry in Darnell Martin’s film about the legendary Chess Records label. Def has already cut his teeth on film in Michel Gondry’s recent comedy, Be Kind Rewind, and previously in The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy.

Ursula Minor Laudanum Mini Album
Laudanum is a mixture of Opium and alcohol and was popular as a pain remover and sleep inducer in the nineteenth century. If I wanted to be trite I could suggest that Ursula Minor are equally as effective as a sleep inducer but far less addictive but the truth is that they are highly derivative noiseniks who wear their influences on their sleeves but make a noise that is not unacceptable for all that.
