Pamela Parker shares information on a new metric that Google is now sharing to let you know what it will cost for your ad to be the top and remain there. This is huge for the PPC Do it yourselfer.
I read this article and the first thing I thought was, "Why would anyone click on a Mac Anti-virus Program?" Mac users should know better, Right? Well obviously not because some of them are actually installing this bogus program and getting infected.
After installing the bogus Mac Antivirus software it will launch pornographic websites and then also ask for a credit card to update the program which will most likely lead to fraudulent charges on your credit card.
I love my bluetooth. As a matter of fact I have two so that when the battery dies in one I can pop the other one in my ear. I do a great deal of work on the computer, designing graphics for clients, writing blogs, internet searches, writing emails, tweeting, and engaging on Facebook with my clients and users.
I bought the Plantronics Discovery 975 for $125.00 and it is well worth the cost in regards to how it allows me to continue to work uninterrupted when a call comes in because my hands remain free.
Want to share or send files to a friend or client but don't want to go through the hassle of actually setting up an account. Here are 3 file sharing websites that will help you do just that. Can't guarantee they will be commercial free but hey... what do you expect when you don't have to set up an account? :-)
Happy Sharing!!!

As social media managers, monitors & influencers knowing that the way #Klout measures their scores is not based on true influence is a bit disturbing. In this article from socmedsean.com the author proves that he was able to obtain a #Klout score of 40 from a Twitter account that he set up for nothing more than autoposts of blogs he wanted to follow using tools like flipboard and feedzilla.
Having a decent #Klout score as social media manager is important to us. We know that users are looking at our scores to determine how influential we are at what we do. Knowing that all my hard work doesn't really mean much doesn't really set well with me.
What do you think? How important is your #Klout score to you? How many companies do you think are watching #Klout scores before they hire a social media manager?

Are you sharing too much information. I know we all love to post via Facebook Places where we have been or where we are going... or how about when you use FourSquare... Oh and don't forget sharing your location on Twitter.... Well now an App called Creepy is showing us just how easy it is to track/stalk a person based on the information they share via geolocation tools in Twitter, Flickr, FourSquare and Facebook places. Creepy takes the information you share daily and "makes it easy for other users to analyze your location patterns." As we become more transparent via social media platforms we need to take a step back and be a little more careful.
This is great news considering the cost in the past... now if we could only get them to do this with other their other software... hint hint :-)
Now you can upload your FourSquare images to your Flickr account. I'm not all that big on checking in but I know many of you are so for those of you who love to share where you are with images... this is the tool for you.
Today I set up Questions on two of my Facebook business pages. Then decided to play around with it a bit. I decided that although it can be a powerful tool to collect data from your users... I really don't like it.
First downfall is.... although the questions show up on your company's Facebook business page as a link, you actually have to click to another page to answer the question or see the results of answers via polls.
Second negative is that if you have your Facebook business page connected to your Twitter account the questions don't show up in your Twitter feed. Real bummer...
So what do I like about Facebook Questions? You can create polls, giving users multiple choice answers that you choose. What business owner wouldn't want to use this tool as a free survey to find out what their clients want, think, like, prefer, etc in order to ensure customer satisfaction????
So... although Facebook Questions is a good way to learn more about your client base or users, it is missing the open interaction/conversation you see on the wall of a Facebook business page. Facebook Questions seems to stifle or take users away from the conversation instead of creating one.
Below are step by instructions from Mashable.com on how to set up Questions on your Facebook business page.
Once you've tried it let me know what you think.
I have been using Facebook since 2008. I was a little late coming to the game and in the beginning only came on to see what my kids were doing. What was this new tool kids found so engrossing? After setting up my first account (incorrectly I might add) I found that this could be a great tool to help promote my services. I also found that there were a lot of other reasons people were using Facebook. Some were using it to date, some were using it to catch up with old friends, others were using it for exactly what it is a social platform. There were also those that were using it as a means to stalk and then child predators were using it to get to children.
I am glad Facebook has an age limit. I honestly think they should raise the age limit to 16 instead of the current 13. I am also glad that Facebook is stepping up their efforts to keep children safe by hiring a Cybersafety expert to assist in this effort.
What do you think about children on Facebook? Should their be an age ban? is 13 really old enough to subject your children to some of the things you have experienced on Facebook?
