What the heck happened to Christian T. Klenke?

Earlier this week, a second arrest was announced for the murder of Javon Jackson. Christian T. Klenke, aka Christian McCutcheon, was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Klenke allegedly had a loaded firearm at the time Jackson, a 23-year-old Bronx native, was shot as he was crossing Main Street near his Lisbon Avenue flat at about 3:15 a. m. May 10. (Buffalo News July 22, 2009).

A search of the Buffalo News shows Christian Klenke as a rather thoughtful, basketball playing teen:

100 Montrose

Conditions at 100 Montrose were brought to our attention by concerned University Heights residents. This property has a long history of neglect, dating back to at least 2005. Things got so bad this summer that the Mayor's Impact Team had to come and clean up.

What makes it worse is that the co-owner of the property is Maureen Jameson, Associate Professor of French at the University of Buffalo. SeethroughNY indicates that Maureen
Jameson made $83,073 in 2008.

Hopefully, the Mayor sent the clean up bill to her instead of making the City of Buffalo taxpayers pay to clean up her neglected property.

The $131 million Big MAC

  • The athletics budget at UB is hidden like a dirty little secret, but with a little poking around it can be determined that UB has spent between $10 million and $12 million a year since at least 2000 on their Athletics program.

Let's add in at least $23 million for the stadium and assorted improvements (artificial surface - Sportexe Momentum, eight-lane, 400-meter track circles the stadium's infield, s administrative offices and meeting rooms, state-of-the-art training facilities, physical conditioning equipment, two large locker rooms capable of housing 800 athletes, 12 luxury suites and a 45-seat press box) and that adds up to one really expensive hamburger.

UB 2020 - Academic Excellence

  • Makes you wonder who we are hiring at UB these days, that they can't achieve "academic excellence" without Disneyland like surroundings. Albert Einstein, for example, thought up the Theory of Relativity at a Patent Office desk.
