  • May 3 (Bloomberg) -- Microsoft Corp. walked away from its bid for Yahoo! Inc. after failing to agree on a price, a setback to the software maker's efforts to catch Google Inc. in the online advertising market.

On the back cover of their final issue was a photograph of an early morning country road, the kind you might find yourself hitchhiking on if you were so adventurous. Beneath it were the words: "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish." It was their farewell message as they signed off. Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish. And I have always wished that for myself.   • 日前，SAP亚太区(包括日本)宣布，西曼(Klaus Zimmer)将升任为SAP北亚区董事长；李文俐(Lee Boon Lee)将担任SAP大中华区总裁兼首席执行官并加入亚太区管理团队；胡安德(Andreas Hube)将担任SAP北亚区首席运营官。

  • 我们还要从西曼和李文俐说起。与西曼长达10年的任期相比，李文俐仅仅8个月的任期实在太短。这也从另一个侧面说明，SAP需要的还是西曼式的扎实稳重的德国管理风格，而不是李文俐式的激进管理风格。在中国市场，本土管理软件厂商的发展势头越来越强劲，SAP以往稳步发展的做法可能已经不能适应现在的市场环境。这恐怕是西曼离开的主要原因。而李文俐的做法虽然一改SAP原来的作风，更加具有攻击性，但是仅仅依靠激情的不够务实的做法注定是行不通的。
