* You can create student accounts for an entire class with just a few clicks (and student email addresses are optional for account creation)
* Students of the same class are automatically set up as a Diigo group so they can start using all the benefits that a Diigo group provides, such as group bookmarks and annotations, and group forums.
* Privacy settings of student accounts are pre-set so that only teachers and classmates can communicate with them.

Unable to add PUBLIC inline comment | Diigo

  • Adding public inline comments on a home page is not allowed now. We restrained this feature to prevent mass graffiti on home page.
  • Inline comments (highlight + Add Sticky Note) doesn't give me a "Public" option on any webpages, including this one. The only options are Private or one of my groups.
    • This seems to be an error with the Firefox addon, it works fine with Diigolet (Diigo bookmarklet) - on 2008-10-05

Why my sticky note can only be private.? | Diigo

  • There are two cases when public sticky notes are not allowed:
    - if you have less than 2 friends
    - on some home pages

    Additionally, there seems to be a bug with the Firefox addon, which prevents some people from posting public sticky notes, even when they should be able. Try using the Diigo Bookmarklet (Diigolet) instead.
    • I was unable to post Public sticky notes on any websites using the Firefox addon, but it is working fine with the bookmarklet. - on 2008-10-05

I can make sticky comments but not as public ones? why? | Diigo

    • I tried adding a sticky note on this exact page when using Firefox addon and it did not offer "public" as an option. Now using Diigolet it works fine. - on 2008-10-05
