Kids' Place Houghton Mifflin English

Curriculum area: Language Arts Grade: 5th Grade (elementary)

My school district uses Houghton Mifflin and this site coincides with each unit we teach. The games and support materials found on this site are useful to any teacher and any student learning the basic grammar and LA skills. This is a free site.

Curriculum Area: Science Grade: 5th (elementary)

This is a great site to link you to more resources on specific scientific concepts. It also has great links to supportive student interactive sites. It give you the materials needed for each hands on module and has more background information for you (as teachers) before teaching the concepts. You don't have to use the Foss modules to use this site. It is a great science reference.

Curriculum Area: Math Grade: Elementary and Middle School (I use in my 5th grade class)

This is a great site with instructional videos--(I use often with my ESOL students) to explain mathematical concepts. There are great interactive games the students can play individually and as a class. It is a great site to support the concepts being taught in class
