    • e the Action Research option:
    • Brenda suggested that we offer a research methods class that everyone takes spring of first year, then in summer we split students into their various tracks --thesis comps, action research. Mel and I like this idea. EVERYONE: what are your thoughts? the logistics are easy to manage.
    • my suggestion is that Herb take the lead on it this year. He has been the standard bearer on this idea. AND I'd like at least one more Committee discussion to firm up our goals for this option and gain consensus on it.
  • RE grad faculty status: Our faculty can apply for grad faculty status which will allow them to
serve on thesis committees. There are specific requirements for grad
faculty status. I've not pursued this very vigorously with everything
else I have going. Instructions and requirements are on the Grad
    College's website.

    • The circulatory system transports food, oxygen and other materials used by the
body for maintenance, growth, repair and wastes to serve the needs of
      individual cells.

    • The circulatory system is a closed system consisting of the heart (an organ),
blood vessels (which include the arteries, veins and capillaries) and the
      blood.

    • The heart acts as a pump for the circulatory system that maintains the flow of
blood by changing fluid pressures around the body.

    • The circulatory system is in contact with the entire body in order to serve
      the needs of individual cells.

    • Drugs, diseases and other medical conditions can influence the efficiency of
      the circulatory system.
