Stanford Institute of Design | d.school | design thinking

  • We believe having designers in the mix is key to success in multidisciplinary collaboration and critical to
uncovering unexplored areas of innovation. Designers provide a methodology that all parties can embrace and a
design environment conducive to innovation. In our experience, design thinking is the glue that holds these
kinds of communities together and makes them successful.

  • Ironically, I don't think innovation is that hard. In fact, once you can accept that innovation is about generating lots of ideas-- focusing on quantity rather than quality-- you're halfway there. That's first and foremost. businesses in the future. That's the biggest number we've seen in 25 years. The
second surprise was that 6 million people actually followed through and started
those businesses, and one-third of them are doing business globally. We thought
    those figures merited further study.
