I don't believe I have a problem with this... I'm all for unplugging an living along in the remote hills, but if we choose to live as a society I hope there is some data mining going on to help manage things. It's a giant, fluid system. More data that happens to be "true" is always a good thing. Society has often made sharp turns on false rumor (war of the worlds, anyone?). Why not use distributed data that is difficult to spoof?
