Generally it can be said that attitudes are kind of moving 'to the right'. Thus meaning that the whole political landscape has become more 'reservered' in giving political asylum to each and every refugee that manages to land in Austria. This mostly out of the necessity to win elections because ... as it seems ... Austrians and especially people in Vienna have become pretty critical of 'AusLänder'

Add Sticky NoteAround 14.000 explosive war relicts are still supposed to lurk underneath (all of Austria).
- So far it was a bit difficult (or taking some time) to find statistics on this subject. I'm still not satisfied. So if anyone knows some good resources and want to share them I would appreciate this. I would like to find statistics for war relicts of WW2 in Europe and maybe some data on the Vietnam war or somewar else for comparison. Maybe the importance of the matter justifies some sweat to bring these things to 'light'. Thanks! - on 2008-09-22
