Parkinson's research helps unravel disease
Langton -- in Calgary on Friday to speak to doctors at Foothills Hospital about the latest in Parkinson's research -- is credited as one of the first scientists to find a relationship between the disorder and toxic compounds such as pesticides.
Langton's findings have led others to find compelling links between Parkinson's and insecticides and even well water.
"A body of evidence is building that tells us something in our environment -- perhaps man-made or natural -- may be triggering this disease," he said.
