I hadn’t gotten back to it, when the other shoe dropped: One of the copyright holders’ whose material was used in Expelled wrote a cease & desist letter to the filmmakers.

Associated Press Makes Urgent Video Distribution More Efficient
The Associated Press Online Video Network (OVN), a joint project between the AP and Microsoft, has implemented a new syndicated video feature that will allow AP affiliates around the world to easily share content with each other’s websites. Members are able to selectively choose which affiliates will be allowed to use their media, and receive a portion of the revenue earned on these remote sites.

According to the Hulu blog, besides the normal ability to embed videos in third party web sites, you can easily share the videos to some of your social sites, such as MySpace, Digg, Facebook and so on. You can share the entire clip, or you can edit the start and stop times to suit your needs by using sliders.

Possibly The Most Ridiculous DMCA Take Down Yet
If you don’t like something on the Internet, it seems that sending a DMCA notice is a nearly sure-fire way to get it taken down. We’ve seen some people fight back against fake notices, particularly the EFF. In fact, I’ve criticized the EFF in the past for being overzealous in fighting DMCA notices. But in many cases, the EFF and other groups helping people defend against bogus DMCA notices have been a huge help.
