SearchMerge
SearchMerge is another of those really interesting new search engines designed to search in real time as well as via the traditional Google search. You can select to search from one or more of the following Google, Twitter, Friendfeed, Flickr, YouTube, Last.FM, Technorati and Vimeo.
Slide - slideshows
Slide is another online presentation tool that puts images together with music from the Slide site along with a range of effects. You can upload and use your own images or access images from a range of other social sites including Flickr. Once you have added the images you get to choose from a range of preloaded music to add a soundtrack before adding other effects. The 'Picture Australia: People, Places and Events’ group is seeking images of social, political, contemporary and or historical events of national significance. Picture Australia is a collaborative, online service managed by the National Library of Australia. It provides access to more than 1.6 million images from major collecting institutions. If you would like to contribute your Flickr images to this group, your creative product will be displayed in the nation’s visual record.

Tag Galaxy is a fascinating Flickr visual search engine that searches on a tag. From the original tag you can then filter down through refined tags to get to your desired image. Be aware though that many of the images are not shared with Creative Commons licensing.
Compfight a flickr™ search tool
A really interesting flickr search engine that seems to throw up lots of original results. Can be searched on via CC and also has Safe Search options though even with this on it still threw up some "questionable" images.
