morocco

  • A room for two people usually has two separate beds in it. The obvious way to find out is to ask to view the room before you decide to rent it. Some rooms can accommodate three or four persons.
  • Nearly every inexpensive hotel I've stayed in in Morocco had two twins, even when what I really wanted was one double.

Imlil - Oukaimeden or Setti Fatma ... - Thorn Tree Travel Forum - Lonely Planet

  • Setti Fatma is a dead end, so you might as well visit Oukaimdene on the return to Marrakech. Drive up to the red and white communications masts overlooking the village and there's a stunning view (and drop off) looking north towards Marrakech. There's likely to be mineral and fossil vendors selling counterfeit samples.

Marrakech- Amizmiz ... - Thorn Tree Travel Forum - Lonely Planet

  • One of the guys posting on this forum is always recommending Amizmiz, so I visited the area on my last trip in October.

On the way you could visit Lake Lalla Takerkoust. Amizmiz is a pleasant enough place, though the average tourist might consider it a bit quiet and unremarkable.

However, there's a spectacular drive in the mountains heading south. It's ultimately a dead end but well worth while.

room reservation needed? ... - Thorn Tree Travel Forum - Lonely Planet

  • You can always find somewhere to stay so unless you want a particular hotel, I'd wait until I get there. But maybe do reserve a room for the day you arrive, as you will be tired and won't want to search for a place.
