Matrress with money missing in Tel Aviv
A woman in Tel Aviv, Israel tried to surprise her mum (I like sayin ‘mum’ because I hear the sweet sweet accent of a British women in my head) by purchasing her a new mattress. Little did she know that the old mattress she threw out had about $1 milli in it. Now the search is on for the dumpster that the mattress went to. Ok first off, who in Israel has a million dollars just saved up in their mattress? I thought they didn’t even have a place to call home, now this lady has a mattress with a million dollars in it? It’s pretty obvious she found a place to settle, now if the rest of them could follow suit. Next, I know mattresses are pretty heavy but damn, didn’t it feel EXTRA heavy with a milli in it? She shoulda been like “well the old mattress is heavier than the new one, that doesn’t make any sense. I wonder what’s in here…oh my, a million dollars!” I think the daughter took the money. She was prolly sayin “mum won’t be around much longer, so I might as well keep it!” Oh, I’m terribly fucked up. But that’s what you like about me and keeps you reading. Seriously, Israelis are stackin chips like that? I wish she was my mum.

8 Browser Innovations Started by Opera
Even though Opera is the most popular mobile browser in the world, in the desktop market Opera is the most under-rated browser despite having created many innovative features. Which was later copied by other browsers.
Exploring the Mysteries of the Mind with the Sims 3
Every scientist dreams of a world without ethics. Whenever a scientist sees a set of twins, he or she secretly wonders what would happen if you surgically swapped their faces. They already have a chamber set up to harness the power of their screams as they gradually realize what has happened. Every day, ethics barely prevent experiments like this from being carried out.
7 Adorable Ways to Annoy A Flight Attendant
SAN FRANCISCO - June 11, 2009 - Yahoo is running an interesting article this morning, titled “7 Ways to Annoy A Flight Attendant.” It got me to thinking that the flight attendants have their own way of annoying passengers, so I thought I would pass along my own take on this subject.
Judge Says Horn Honking Is Not Free Speech: Neighbors' Dispute Leads to Arrest
People who honk their horn gratuitously and/or angrily better watch out because they might not have the First Amendment to fall back on if they get in trouble for it. At least, that's what an appellate court judge in Washington said in the case of Helen Immelt, who got arrested for, essentially, excessive horn honking.
Inside Amateur Science: The Best in Out-of-Lab Research
Amateur scientists—researchers who work at home or in a temporary lab, without major funding—have made some of the most remarkable discoveries throughout history. Just look at Nicolaus Copernicus's formulation of the heliocentric model of the universe or Alessandro Volta's invention of the battery. Here, Shawn Carlson, executive director of the SciTech Hands On Museum, reveals some of the top citizen scientists and programs that are influencing research now.
What The Book You're Reading Really Says About You
It's probably true that you can't judge a book by its cover, but you can tell a lot about a person by what book they're reading, so we decided to provide some insight into what the book that you're reading says about you:
In The World: Which Countries Have The Toughest...
The fact that China leads all countries in executions is no surprise. By the end of 2008, China's population was reported to be 1,330,044,544 the largest in the world. But then again, India's population was ranked second with 1,147,995,904 and they didn't make the list of top four! Maybe population has nothing to do with it but rather the toleration level of the culture. Other countries that didn’t make the death penalty list found themselves in the spotlight for being the toughest countries for concerning other laws. In examining laws, certain countries were found to be the strictest in certain areas. The list is as follows:

hbo true blood musician casting
The second season of HBO’s acclaimed vampire series True Blood is fast approaching (June 14th) and, honestly, we’re pretty damn excited. While the show is already jam packed with memorable characters, being a music site and all, we can’t help but wish that some of our favorite (or not) musicians could make a cameo appearance or two. Why? For starters, because some of them just look like they would fit the part. Others would maybe fit the part, but we mostly just want to see them die a violent on-screen death.
Cable group turns net neutrality around over ISP access fees
Here's an issue that will probably keep the telecom lawyers growling at each other for just a decade or so. The American Cable Association has asked the Federal Communications Commission to stop Internet video content providers from charging ISPs wholesale access fees to their sites "at discriminatory rates, terms and conditions." The ACA filed their request as feedback in the agency's proceeding on its National Broadband Plan. The trade group represents about 900 small and medium sized cable/ISP operators, many serving rural areas.

Sorry, Colonel: Your beaming, slightly irascible visage might just be scrapped for that of a real, live person.
