5 cool things to sync with Dropbox on your Mac
-
Navigate on your computer to your home folder > Library > Application Support > MacJournal, and make a copy of your "MacJournal Data" file on your Dropbox folder. Then on the computers you plan to sync, go into the MacJournal preferences > Advanced. In the drop-down where it says "Open documents," pull down to "Open other."
-
he one downside to this method is that you must make sure to quit MacJournal every time you're done using it from either machine. If you don't do this, your entries may not be properly synced when you switch to the other computer, though I've had some mixed luck with this. If you make sure to quit every time you walk away to switch machines, though, you should be golden.
[unsanity] APE SDK - SDK for Application Enhancer
-
Application Enhancer SDK is also available in APE Lite form, which only provides facilities to change Mach-O symbols inside of your running process. APE Lite SDK
is now available freely as a part of the SDK for you to use - you can look at the APELite.h file to get an impression what it can do for you. However, even though APELite is free to use, it still requires a license agreement.

So when we realize that Glorious Leader has every haxie known to humans on their system, we get annoyed. We can't do anything about it, (Glorious Leader, remember?), but now we have a near - infinite number of possible variables to deal with. You can't troubleshoot infinite numbers variables. It's impossible, and that's what things like APE are: Infinite numbers of variables to every bug.

Finally, note that Smart Scroll X uses Unsanity’s

system. Some people refuse to use “haxies” on their system and thus won’t use Application-Enhancer-based products. I personally use several such add-ons with no ill effects, but I include this information for those who care. (On a related note, if you find that Smart Scroll X conflicts with a particular application, you can add that application to the Exclusion List in the Application Enhancer pane of System Preferences.)
Application Enhancer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
-
Application Enhancer (APE) is a software program released by Unsanity for Apple's Mac OS X operating system. Application Enhancer provides a framework that allows third-party developers to write "haxies" for OS X. It also provides a daemon to load haxies when certain applications are launched. These haxies, or plugins, are known as application enhancer modules, or APEs. Once the APE is loaded by the daemon, the module modifies the behavior of an existing applicatio

he Application Enhancer system allows you to enhance or redefine certain behaviors for applications running on your system.
It provides a way for third-party enhancer modules to modify how your applications work.
Application Enhancers cannot affect the core system - they operate on an application level, therefore, they cannot cause a whole Mac OS X system to crash. The technology behind Application Enhancer system has been in research and development for more than 4 years now, and many of our haxies (including
WindowShade X, FruitMenu, Silk and others) are using it.

, a Haxie is a term which was coined by developer Unsanity to describe their products. It is a blend of "hack" and "Mac OS X". Unsanity uses it to refer to "hacks" that are specifically designed for use with its Application Enhancer (APE) software.

Today, many people call such system enhancement products for Mac OS X "haxies", even though not all use APE. There are actually several techniques for injecting code into Mac OS X applications. Some methods use SIMBL (the Smart InputManager Bundle Loader), are Input Manager plug-ins themselves, or use Jonathan Rentzsch's mach_inject and mach_override or similar code. It is also possible to do code injection as an AppleScript scripting addition (osax).

Grab Scroll lets you move any window’s contents around with a simple mouse drag. It is similar to the hand tool feature commonly found in graphics programs, except:

Scroll Keys let you use the same set of keys for scrolling in all applications. This gives you consistent, dependable scrolling everywhere, without having to remember which app uses which keys and without always having to reach for the mouse. Scroll Keys are a welcome alternative, and if you type a lot, a real time saver!

Syncing Your Data Without MobileMe or iDisk

n order to use Dropbox to sync your data, you must switch to the Agile Keychain data format. Our guide provides details on how to switch to the Agile Keychain.
Important: The OS X Keychain stores everything in a single file, making file-based syncing impractical. Do not sync the OS X Keychain using this method.
