EmEditor

    我们经过长时间开发出此文字处理软件。我们共同的体会是作为文字处理软件要可以迅速启动，可以开启大容量的文件，用户经常使用的功能必须具备。很多的文字处理软件失去了轻便和快速的特点。但是我们认为这是文字处理软件最优先的前提，不能为了增加大量的功能而将牺牲处理的速度和轻便性作为代价。EmEditor为什么可以做到那样的快速还有其它的原因。当今的很多文字处理软件都是使用多文本处理界面（Multiple Document Interface(MDI)），相反我们还是依旧使用单文本界面（Single Document Interface (SDI)）。正是因为这个原因，EmEditor的启动速度很快。如果使用MDI，程序的容量同样会变得很大，启动起来会很费时间。另外我们没有使用现在很多程序员都在用的Microsoft Foundation Class (MFC)。确实利用MFC可以使软件的开发变得容易。但是它所开发出的程序并没有达到最优化的目的。我们所选择的SDI和开发工具，并不是因为意识形态的原因，而是我们考虑到EmEditor的构造上的特点而作出的选择。



    EmEditor的快速性源于其程序的构造和两个版本的核心程序。EmEditor可以从多个程序构造进行启动，例如增加程序的属性设定窗口中等内容也不会影响程序操作的速度。同时核心程序由两个最优化的版本构成。它们是Windows NT/2000/XP的版本和Windows 95/98/Me的版本。公开的EmEditor虽然同时装有两个版本的程序，但在安装过程中安装程序自动检出操作系统的版本，只将最合适的版本复制到执行程序中。正因为我们向着最优化的努力，我们做到了尽可能地缩小核心程序的容量(256KB)。总之我们通过在一个程序中装入两个版本的最优化核心程序，使得我们不用担心过长的下载时间和过慢的启动速度。



    文字处理软件的最基本的功能是文字处理，为了实现文字处理的最优化，我们也尽了我们的努力，并实现了目标。对于文章的大小以及文字行数和列数没有限制。用EmEditor不管你的文章是否含有换行符，即使容量为几MB的文件也可以很快地打开编辑。和其它的许多文字处理软件不同，EmEditor可以垂直或水平滚动窗口数百万行或数百万列。当然你也可以在1秒中内同时打开多个EmEditor窗口，而且同时不影响内存的使用。文字处理的功能是EmEditor得以生存的理由，网页设计者用它来编辑HTML或者Perl程序文件，程序员用它来编辑源程序，很多人想使用轻便简单的记事本软件，此时EmEditor就会显得很有用处。



    但是在追求轻便快速的同时，又要满足用户各种不同的需求，就会有腹背受敌的感觉。此时我们采取的办法是插件(plug-in)的导入。以此实现特别功能的扩张功能。通过简洁轻便的插件的使用，几乎可以实现所有的特殊功能。例如拼写检查功能也可以通过插件的导入来实现。



    特别是针对多种语言的处理的要求也实现了对应。



    很多的文字处理软件可以打开Unicode的文件，但是它们大部分是在开启文件时将Unicode变换为ANSI，而内部处理是通过ANSI的处理来实现的。结果当多种语言混在的时候就无法编辑。但在EmEditor中，因为是完全对应Unicode，所以不会发生这样的问题。



    作为EmEditor最大的一个特点也许不是程序构造和Unicode的相关问题。那就是针对用户提出的各种疑问和建议进行认真地对应。我们一直欢迎用户的信息反馈。我们回答用户所有的必要的问题。每天我们要花费2-3小时来回答用户的疑问。软件开发者江村丰直接回答有关技术方面的问题，并在将来的版本中体现出来。没有我们对用户的反馈的认真处理，也许就不会有我们多年来的进步。我们将对所有登录用户提供满意的服务。
