PD + solenoids = musical studio
Somebody has hooked up some solenoids to PD, and created a nice bit of percussive music by banging on bits hanging around his studio. [via Gizmodo]

streaming video to N800 - Internet Tablet Talk Forums

I'm using FUPPES (http://fuppes.ulrich-voelkel.de/) to stream audio/video from my Ubuntu box to my N800. I use Media Converter (https://garage.maemo.org/projects/mediaconverter/) for my videos, since I've found it works the best for me.

[CinCVS] cinelerra & ffmpeg & AVI format & audio troubles

It has exactly the same A/V quality and nearly identical file size as AVI version. Fine!
