How is he unelectable? He's faced the most abysmal month of his career, with a concerted media hyping of the Wright issue 24/7. He's up against a former first lady and her husband the ex president. He's up against the Republican Nominee, the Party, and the entire array of conservative political groups, who've been attacking him exclusively and ignoring Clinton.

He was a newcomer with no political machine, favors to cash in, and almost zip for name recognition.

In spite of all of this, he's won one state in a landslide, and he might possibly win the other. He's ahead in the pledged delegates, the popular vote, the number of states one, and he's been drawing in superdelegates 3-1 compared to Clinton, bringing her former 3 digit lead down to the teens. He's fundraising faster than any candidate in history.

How's any of that make him seem unelectable?

I think so many people are missing the point...Barack Obama spending money in Pennsylvannia was a brilliant strategy, it forced her to spend more money and time in that state then she would have normally had to...so now while he has money to focus on other states (which remember he did in between campaigning in Pennsylannia (he visited NC, SD, IN, and Montana)..Hillary is left penny pinching and she has to pick and choose which states she has to be competitive in. David Axelrod and Obama campaign are genius!! That is why he has my vote!!!

he explained that Obama does not want to alienate Clinton supporters by ratcheting up the rhetoric, and that he will have an easier time doing that against John McCain.

Oh, and BTW, who is it that let themselves fly off at the mouth and then ended up putting hubby back in the doghouse while she had to paper over as sweetness and light? Oh yeah, that would be right - the one that has tried to use McCain style aggression and it backfired on her.

The only question for me is whether either Clinton or McCain can actually win against someone who is obviously more clever than them, with a style that they have become so far removed from (or is perhaps alien to their personalities) that they can't comprehend it to overcome it.

A smart person receives an attack - looks at it and then thinks 'what does this person want to get out of this attack - what do they expect me to do'? Then you react in such a way that throws them completely off balance. Just when they think they have you figured out they are all flummoxed all over again. Fun innit it?
