Two of the three founders of Moonbot Studios are festooned in Mardi Gras attire, leading 100 people through the streets of the French Quarter as they push  what appears to be a puppet shaped like a gloriously fat woman stuffed into a shopping cart. She wears a pink polka dot dress. Her gray hair is pulled  back and up into a ponytail. A wide, tall grin stretches across her face, chin after chin hanging below it. But her most noticeable characteristic is  the massive middle finger of her left hand, which sticks up like a club as her own loving message to her krewe.

I’m a strong believer that, as the scholar Marshall McLuhan put it, “the medium is the message.”  The means of communication used has a symbiotic relationship with how the message is perceived by the receiver (Can you tell I’m a communication major yet?).  With all the different tools that can be used to communicate, I take a systematic approach as to which medium should be used for what.  If something is urgent, I feel picking up the phone is the obvious choice.  If there’s a lot of information to be conveyed, I think an email is best so the receiver can reference the extensive material at will. 

My tools make my work much easier for me to just concentrate on the task at hand.

Another tool I love using is www.Google.com this search engine has become one of the largest names on the internet.  Its complex spider engine lets users find almost anything in the blink of an eye. It is especially useful as a student when performing research
